Stevens Family Foundation was established in 2008 to continue B.D Stevens and L.B. Stevens’ legacies of giving back to the greater community. In keeping with the family’s philosophy of giving, the Foundation has supported many worthwhile charitable organizations since its inception.
The current Board consists of members of the Stevens family and Stevens Group employees who meet bi-annually to review donation requests and ongoing charitable projects.
The Foundation has contributed $2.3 million over the years and continues to identify where best to serve the community’s needs. In keeping with the family and companies’ charitable legacy, the Foundation has contributed to Acadia University, the IWK Foundation, Catapult Leadership Society, DASC-Dartmouth Adult Service Centre, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Ronald McDonald House, ARK Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, The Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, Easter Seals and other unique programs supporting the range of communities in Nova Scotia.
The Stevens Family Foundation has supported Catapult since 2008.
